TECHNICAL ASSISTANT TO THE CONSTRUCTION OFFICIAL, TOWNSHIP OF TEANECK, BERGEN COUNTY (FULL-TIME) . The Township of Teaneck seeks a qualified Technical Assistant to the Construction Official in the Building Department. The successful candidate, under the direction of the Construction Official, will provide technical assistance in the issuance of construction permits to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Uniform Construction Code and model codes as well as other related duties. The candidate must possess the ability to interact with design professionals, contractors, members of the public and municipal staff in a professional, courteous and timely manner and assure that a quality customer service experience is produced. This position requires excellent time management and organizational skills. This is a Civil Service title that requires two (2) years of experience in work involving the processing, review and issuance of construction permits.
